Slow Cooker Beef Bone Broth for the week

Slow Cooker Beef Bone Broth for the week sits in the Soups section of Regbie. The card serves 1 servings. Plan on 8 hours 15 minutes from the first measure to the plate. The amounts and the method are both written on this page.

Ingredients

Yield: 1 servings

  • 2 carrots, chopped medium
  • 2 celery stalks, chopped medium
  • 7 garlic cloves, smashed
  • 3½ pounds beef bones
  • 2 bay leaves
  • Diamond Crystal kosher salt
  • Freshly ground black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar, skippable
  • Water

Method

  1. Prep your veggies and dump them in the bottom of a 6 quart slow cooker. Drop in the beef bones on top and tuck in the bay leaves, sprinkle on some salt, and drizzle vinegar.

  2. Tip in enough water in the slow cooker to cover everything.

  3. Program the slow cooker to cook on low for 8-10 hours.

  4. When the broth is ready, pour it through a strainer and discard the solids.

  5. You can lade some out to drink or cook with now or you can store the liquid in a large container for later! The broth will keep in the fridge for a few days and in the freezer for several months.
