Welcome to the Nom Nom Paleo monthly cooking challenge—a friendly, hands-on culinary event designed to get you excited about cooking and sharing what you make in your own kitchen.

Each month, I highlight three accessible, flavor-forward recipes. You choose one recipe to cook, photograph the finished dish, and submit that photo for a chance to win. It’s a simple, low-pressure way to try something new, sharpen your skills, and show off a home-cooked meal—plus there’s a reward for one lucky winner each month. Many people find they were already planning to cook one of these recipes anyway, so why not join the challenge?
How to participate!
Choose ONE of these recipes to cook:
- Sheet Pan Salmon with Pesto and Asparagus
- Shrimp Fajitas
- IP Kalua Pig

Take a picture of the finished dish and email it!
Once your chosen recipe is plated and ready, take a clear photo that shows the food well—natural light and a simple background usually help. Email your photo to [email protected] with the recipe name as the subject line. Make sure your submission arrives by 11:59 pm PT on September 30, 2026 to be eligible for this month’s drawing.
Wait to see if you win!
After the deadline, we’ll review submissions and select one winner the following week. The winner will be contacted by email and will receive a $100 Amazon gift certificate. We announce winners promptly so you’ll know if your entry was chosen—be sure the email address you use for submissions is one you check regularly.

For full contest details, eligibility requirements, and more on how winners are selected, visit the Nom Nom Paleo Cooking Challenge home page. That page includes official contest rules, deadlines, and answers to frequently asked questions.
You can also review the Official Contest Rules for specific legal and procedural terms that govern the challenge. Reading the rules will help ensure your entry meets all requirements and avoid common submission mistakes.

Tips for a great submission: shoot your photo in daylight when possible, use a clean plate and tidy background, and capture the dish at a flattering angle. If you adapted the recipe for dietary preferences or ingredient availability, feel free to note that in your email—clear context helps us appreciate your effort.
This monthly challenge is designed to be welcoming for cooks at many skill levels. Whether you’re making a quick weeknight supper or experimenting with a new technique, we hope this encourages you to get in the kitchen and share your results. Good luck, and happy cooking!
